Violet Evergarden Franchise

Violet

The final movie to the series Violet Evergarden is out, sure it’s been a while but the journey for Violet is something we’ll always think about. Violet’s life has been difficult, from a kid who was recruited for war to a young girl working as a doll, trying to understand her purpose in this life and perhaps wait for another order. She never had a free will for her own, more the less she never was given the opportunity to think about it. Being used as a tool, to kill, to be someone’s pet is all she ever knew. But things started to change when she was gifted to her new commander.

This is where her journey begins, journey to see things in a different light, to understand people, and above all to understand what it is to love and be loved by someone. During the last battle with her commander when defeat was at the door step, when death was looking over her shoulder all she knew and she wanted to help her commander. But when he saw her wounds and the path that she was dragged on and felt that he was no different from the others who treated her harshly. He also knew that he loved her that he wanted her to live a better life. But sadly for him Violet never knew what LOVE meant.

This is where the story develops, to understand the meaning of love. Everyone has their understanding and their way to express these emotions. But can we truly describe what love is? Can it be put in just mere words? For love is not the path one can show, it’s one that you have to connect to understand. In the attempt to understand this Violet becomes a Memory Doll, one who writes letters for those who can’t write or are shy to do so. But the tricky part of writing a letter is to convey the words in such a way that emotions are evoked when a reader reads it. And that’s exactly the things Violet didn’t know. Her journey as a doll meeting different people understanding their pain, putting them across the letters she wrote was all an attempt to understand what her commander meant when he said, “I Love You”. So that maybe someday she can write a letter to him.

Violet always thought that she was just a mere servant to him just how she was to others but we never know what the other person thinks of you. This is an emotional rollercoaster with excellent art style and music score. Evan call the music director have brought some amazing tunes which resonate with the story arc. This is a must watch series to explore the depths of human connection along with Violet’s Journey.
